Admission Requirements
For students from mainland China:
  • Successful completion of senior secondary 3; AND
  • Satisfactory examination results of Joint Entrance Examination, PRC; OR
  • Any other equivalent qualifications

An interview or telephone interview will be arranged for the applicants who may also be required to sit an English/Chinese language test.   Upon confirmation of offer, applicants may be required to enrol in and pass a remedial language course organised by CUSCS.

Individual programmes may have specific admission requirements. Applicants should refer to the admission requirements of individual programmes.

In 2024-25, CUSCS will offer 2-year full-time Higher Diploma programmes for non-local students without right of abode in Hong Kong. The details are as follows:

Medium of Instruction

Teaching activities will primarily be conducted in Cantonese, and as required by different programmes, in English, Putonghua, Japanese or Korean. Learning materials will be in English, Chinese, Japanese or Korean where appropriate.

CUSCS offers "Introduction to Cantonese (Internet Mode)" for students to learn Cantonese and blend into the Hong Kong community. For details, please visit the website of CUSCS at: www.cuscs.hk

As the student admission and visa application take 8 weeks to proceed, applicants are advised to submit their applications as soon as possible.

Award of Diploma

To qualify for the award of Higher Diploma at the School of Continuing and Professional Studies, a student must have completed the required courses and have passed the assessment, and have an attendance rate of at least 70% for each course.

Tuition Fee

Tuition Fee

HK$77,580 - 84,910 per year. Tuition fee for Higher Diploma Programme in Health Care is HK$106,300.

Financial Requirement

Apart from the tuition fee, the living cost (including accommodation, caution fee and other expenses) is approximately HK$250,000 per year. Financial assistance and loans will not be provided by CUSCS nor the HKSAR Government, applicants are expected to be able to financially support themselves throughout the programme.

Scholarships

Applicants are expected to be able to financially support themselves throughout the programme.

CUSCS scholarships are awarded annually to students who achieve outstanding academic performance in various disciplines. Outstanding students who wish to pursue an undergraduate programme overseas may be eligible for scholarships from the universities concerned.
