If one of the five subjects is 'Citizenship and Social Development', the admission requirement will be "Attained" for 'Citizenship and Social Development' and Level 2 in four other HKDSE subjects including Chinese Language and English Language.
A maximum of two Applied Learning subjects, excluding Applied Learning Chinese (ApL(C)), can be used in the application. "Attained", "Attained with Distinction (I)" and "Attained with Distinction (II)" Level in Applied Learning subjects will be considered as equivalent to Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 in HKDSE subjects respectively.
Applied Learning Chinese (ApL(C)) will be accepted as an alternative Chinese Language qualification for admission consideration for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) DSE candidates.

This programme will be offered on a two-year full-time basis, and based on a credit unit system.

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Creation in Chinese Literary Arts, Chu Hai College of Higher Education
Part of the programme requirements, students who undertake internship have to undergo 60 hours of training in the field of languages and communication or other related industries in Hong Kong or overseas Students will be arranged to be placed at NGOs, publishing houses, secondary schools, cultural organizations, etc. for practicum on guided tour services, administration, reporting writing, teaching, etc. related works.
The only Higher Diploma programme in Chinese in Hong Kong that integrates Internship into the curriculum as an elective course to give unleash students' talent and to help them apply what they have learnt. Besides, the programme offers diversified seminars, workshops and field studies that allow our students to develop their expertise inside or outside the classroom.
Teachers in secondary schools: apart from teaching the scheduled contents, our students independently design lesson plans, write teaching materials, and prepare classwork and homework in accordance with actual situations. The students learn through frontline work and authentic teaching and accumulate precious experience for the future education work.
Docents in Jao Tsung-I Academy: in 2014-15, our programme cooperates with Jao Tsung-I Academy and our students serve as docents in the Academy offering guided tours of history and culture and organising events. The students learn from the training and enhance their communication and interpersonal skills.
Editorial assistants: our programme cooperates with publishers offering the internship in which students work as editorial assistants. Our students participate in the work of publication, learn the publishing process such as data collection, interview, and copy writing, and improve the language performance. Moreover, the programme offers different opportunities for students to improve their interview skills and writing competence. In 2014-15, some of our students interviewed cartoonist Cuson Lo, and their interview will be published in the school publication like@scs.
News writers: Our programme cooperates with the media offering the internship in which selected students write news reports for the media as freelancers.
In the future, we will explore more internship opportunities in more areas so that our students learn better the market demand, get themselves better prepared and thus create a bright future.
Our programme has arranged different overseas exchange activities to our students to broaden their horizons. We have collaborated with Peking University, Beijing Normal University and Soochow University, so that students, can experience the local learning environment and regional culture.
This programme will be delivered mainly by face-to-face instruction, supplemented with group discussions, seminars and language skill practice.
Teaching activities will be conducted in English and Cantonese as deemed appropriate. Learning materials will be in English and Chinese as deemed appropriate.
Performance of students is monitored and assessed on a continuous basis using a variety of assessment tools, such as projects, classroom participation, assignments and final examination.
