Programme Information

Admission Requirements
Applicants should fulfill any one of the following requirements:
  • Level 2 in five subjects* in Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination including Chinese Language# and English Language, or equivalent; or
  • Pass in one A Level or two AS Level subjects, plus five passes in HKCEE including Level 2/ Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language, or equivalent; or
  • Satisfactory completion of the Diploma Yi Jin or Diploma of Applied Education Programme; or
  • Aged 21 or above

If one of the five subjects is 'Citizenship and Social Development', the admission requirement will be "Attained" for 'Citizenship and Social Development'  and Level 2 in four other HKDSE subjects including Chinese Language and English Language.

A maximum of two Applied Learning subjects, excluding Applied Learning Chinese (ApL(C)), can be used in the application. "Attained", "Attained with Distinction (I)" and "Attained with Distinction (II)" Level in Applied Learning subjects will be considered as equivalent to Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 in HKDSE subjects respectively.

Applied Learning Chinese (ApL(C)) will be accepted as an alternative Chinese Language qualification for admission consideration for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) DSE candidates.

Internship Programmes and Field Trips

Internship and Activities

Internship will offer placement in selected organisation for at least 40 hours.  Organizations are game development, mobile application, AR/VR companies, etc., including industry leaders in Hong Kong.  Previous organizations include:

Students will also participate in the annual Hong Kong Game Development Competition held in Cyberport organized by the Hong Kong Game Development Association (HKGD). The students have achieved outstanding results and swept many awards every year, including runner-up, third runner-up, best art award, best level design award, most creative award, and merit. Students will also participate in the annual Global Game Jam. This event is also held in Cyberport. It is a global event for game developers. It requires the participants to collaborate each other online to create a computer game in one week. Every year, over 10,000 participants join the event. Our students have won several awards at the competition.
General Information

Mode of Delivery


This is a taught programme.  Some computer subjects will be supplemented by online videos.  Each student is required to complete the graduation game project in the final year.  It integrates the knowledge acquired by students and applies to practical issues.


Medium of Instruction

Except English subjects, the programme will be taught in Cantonese supplemented with English where appropriate. Learning materials and notes, except Chinese subject, will be in English.


Assessment Methods

Performance of students is monitored and assessed on a continuous basis using a variety of assessment tools, such as projects, classroom participation, assignments and final examination.
